Criminal liability under health and safety law

Summary:

Most areas of health and safety law impose criminal liability based on fault, including gross negligence manslaughter, corporate manslaughter and failure to do that which is reasonably practicable to ensure health and safety at work. A few offences impose strict liability, though this is an area under review by the government. Diana Kloss explains.
