We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our Business HR Delivery team here at the NEC Group. The role is to manage the provision of our inhouse occupational health service across our sites.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • To manage any external occupational health relationships contracts in line with agreed service levels including Physio and CBT.
  • To develop and implement appropriate Occupational Health interventions and recommend areas for future.
  • To assess occupational health referrals and decide on appropriate next steps.
  • To assess pre employment health questionnaires, following offers being made, and decide on appropriate next steps.
  • To develop and lead on implementation of the company’s Health Surveillance programme in collaboration with Health and Safety and the Business HR Delivery teams.
  • To provide general advice and guidance to managers and employees on all health-related matters.
  • Provide health education and health promotion initiatives and advice.
  • Having knowledge of and being an ambassador for relevant company policies and initiatives such as Managing Attendance, Substance Misuse, Wellbeing.
  • Adhere to company GDPR processes at all times.

Skills and Experience:

  • The role holder will be expected to be professionally autonomous
  • Qualified in Occupational Health
  • Qualification or knowledge in Mental Health would be desirable
  • To be committed to continuous personal and professional development
  • Have the ability to influence and persuade, and possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective written and communication skills
